Our Chair “Next Generation Networks”, led by Prof. Magedanz, announces Open Source Mobile Network Technologies Conference to be hosted at Technische Universität (TU) Berlin, during April 17, 2024.
The event aims to offer a neutral place to meet, discuss and collaborate for developers and users of open source software and hardware dedicated for mobile networks and services. Open Source is known to be main driver for very dynamic markets such as web services, cloud platforms, storage and database systems. While Open Source usage in mobile networks has seen an encouraging increase during the recent years, a better coordination and advertising can accelerate its adoption in this space.
Our department at TU Berlin has built a testbed that is used to teaching 4G and 5G technologies to the students, enabling them to discover with hands on exercises what actually happens behind their daily activities on mobile devices. This event is the natural next step to attract more eyes on Open Source projects for mobile networks beyond our academic community.
If you develop an Open Source project that can be used for mobile networks, you are very welcome to come and present it. Also, people and academic or industrial entities that use open source to built mobile networks or services are invited to join us and share their experiences. Visit the web page of the event for more details on how to register or submit a proposal to this conference.
Looking forward to meeting many of you in Berlin during April 17, 2024!
